Budgets

Academy Reports has the ability to record budgets. This can also be accomplished in Sage 50, but Sage has the drawback that budgets have to be entered manually, whereas they can be imported from Excel in Academy Reports. Budgets in Academy Reports can also be imported for the following financial year, making data for the ESFA Budget Forecasting more easily extracted in the required ESFA format.

It is strongly recommended that you record budget data in the Dayta Academy System, rather than Sage.

To allow budgets to be recorded in Academy Reports (as opposed to Sage) the option ‘Use Academy Budgets in place of Sage’ must be ticked in Academies Configuration. To force this change to take effect either change academy or log out and in again.
