Requisitions Setup - Valid Account Combinations

The ribbon item for ‘Valid Nominal/Dept Combinations’ will only be displayed if ‘Use Nominal/Department/Fund Validation’ was previously set. We recommend this setting is ticked to minimise the possibility of input error.

Settings > Requisition Settings > Valid Nominal/Dept Combinations

Purchase Requisitions - Valid Account Combinations

To enter valid combinations, place the cursor in the ‘Code’ box on the last row (identified by an asterisk in the left column margin). Select the Nominal code, Department No and Fund No as required.  Alternatively use any of the drop-down lists in the description columns, or a mixture of both.

Note: If 'Use Academy Funds in place of Sage' is set in 'Academies Configuration', the fund columns are not relevant and are not shown.  Similarly, the Fund column should be omitted if importing from Excel. (See below)

An alternative method to enter the data is from an Excel spreadsheet. To prepare a spreadsheet for importing the first row of the spreadsheet must have the following column headings, exactly as shown here:

  • Nominal
  • Department
  • Fund - only applicable if using Sage funds.

Enter the codes for the permissible combinations.  You must not include any other columns and it is the codes that are required, not the descriptions.

To import from the spreadsheet, make sure that it is saved and closed, click the ‘Import from Excel’ button and browse to the Excel file and click ‘Open’.  The data will be imported.
